Rehearsals for Saturday’s Tractor Tattoo spectacular were in full swing in Kingaroy this evening.<\/p>\n

Performers young and old gathered on the steps of the Town Hall to practise their acts for Saturday night, run through sound and lighting checks, and be introduced to the real star of the evening, Australia’s (and possibly the world’s) only musical tractor.<\/p>\n

After months of planning, workshops, art exhibitions and competitions, the quirky arts and music festival will blossom into life from 4:00pm tomorrow (Saturday, September 15) in the Glendon Street forecourt of the Kingaroy Town Hall.<\/p>\n

There’ll be drumming, singing, an audio-visual display and lots of surprises. And in a nod to the famous Edinburgh Tattoo there’ll even be a bagpipe or two.<\/p>\n

During the evening the special composition by Bundaberg composer Peter Rankine – written for band and tractor – will also make its world premiere.<\/p>\n

Tractor Tattoo is totally free and promises to be loads of musical fun for all the family.<\/p>\n

The winners of the “Gathering Of The Tractors” art competition will also be announced about 7:00pm.<\/p>\n
