May 25, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

Traffic incidents kept Kingaroy police busy last Wednesday.<\/p>\n

About 1:30pm, two vehicles collided head-on on Schellbacks Road, near the intersection with Curtis Road, at Booie.<\/p>\n

It is believed the vehicles tried to pass each other too closely on the dirt road.<\/p>\n

Both were moderately damaged and one person was taken to Kingaroy Hospital with a sore arm.<\/p>\n

Then about 2:00pm, a Ford stationwagon driven by an 80-year-old Wilkesdale woman was involved in a collision with a ute driven by a 17-year-old Kingaroy man in Alford Street, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

Police say the crash happened as the woman pulled out from a parking bay. Neither driver was injured.<\/p>\n

Then just 30 minutes later, police booked a driver for drink-driving and speeding after they clocked him doing 80km\/h in the 60km\/h zone in River Road, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old Kingaroy man allegedly blew 0.068 BAC after police located the vehicle in Prince Street.<\/p>\n

Then on Wednesday night, police stopped a driver in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, for a random breath test.<\/p>\n

Police will allege the 53-year-old Kingaroy man failed the roadside test, but then refused to complete the second test when he was taken back to Kingaroy police station.<\/p>\n

He has been charged with failing to provide a specimen of his breath, which is treated as a high-reading drink-driving offence.<\/p>\n

His number plates were also confiscated for seven days.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There have been 94 road fatalities in Queensland so far this year, including 17 in May.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The latest occurred at Tieri in central Queensland on Monday afternoon when a 44-year-old woman was killed and an 18-year-old woman injured when their vehicle left the road and rolled.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

On Wednesday, police arrested a 19-year-old man in Haly Street for breaching his bail curfew conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was arrested at 3:00am.<\/p>\n

At 1:00am on Sunday morning, Kingaroy police arrested a 36-year-old woman on a warrant in Alford Street.<\/p>\n

She has been charged with failing to appear in court.<\/p>\n

The next Kingaroy Blue Light Disco will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall on Friday, June 19.<\/strong><\/p>\n
