Here\u2019s the weekly fishing report for Boondooma and Bjelke-Petersen dams for the week ending Monday, March 25:<\/p>\n

Boondooma Dam<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Dam Level = 70 per cent<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Another mixed week. One minute the fish are on, then nothing for the rest of the day.<\/p>\n

    The wind has been unpredictable all week with some mornings being the pick and other days the afternoon. But there are still fish being caught with live bait up the Boyne (the pick of the river arms).<\/p>\n

    If you\u2019re on the lures, chances of catching fish trolling are very small. <\/p>\n

    My choice would be ice jigs and blades around the Junction or Pelican Point.<\/p>\n

    Redclaw are still being caught in big numbers all over the dam.<\/p>\n

    Bjelke-Petersen Dam \u2013 Yallakool<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    • Dam Level = 51 per cent<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Anglers have had to work hard to catch Bass and Yellows this week at BP Dam.<\/p>\n

      Some good size Bass have been caught around the old ski club boat ramp and around Bass Point.<\/p>\n

      Anglers using live bait have had the most success this week with some good catches reported.<\/p>\n

      Redclaw are also playing hard to get with mixed reports on catch sizes.<\/p>\n

      – Andrew and Meredith Jackson<\/strong><\/p>\n

      FOOTNOTE:\u00a0 The Yallakool Caravan Park page on Facebook announced on Saturday that “Team Jackson” will be leaving Yallakool at the end of the month:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      “It comes time again where we have to inform you all that things are changing at Yallakool.\u00a0 Andrew has decided that after years of travelling around Australia working all over the country that it\u2019s time to take a back seat and let his lovely wife Meredith follow her career. And with this comes that sad news that Andrew, Kyle and Meredith will be leaving us at the end of this month. We would like to take this time in thanking Team Jackson for the great effort and countless hours of hard work making Yallakool a better place to visit and stay.
