A 42-year-old man has had his car impounded by police for 90 days after police spotted two vehicles allegedly involved in a street race along Haly Street at 8:00pm last Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

Police intercepted one of the vehicles, a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer.<\/p>\n

The driver has been charged with racing on a public road, a hooning offence that carries a maximum penalty of six months in jail.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A disturbance involving three teenagers at Kingaroy Shoppingworld has ended up with two people being issued with infringement notices and a third dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The behaviour of the 17-year-old male, 17-year-old female and a 16-year-old female last Tuesday afternoon led to a number of complaints to police.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A vehicle stopping on the D’Aguilar Highway at Coolabunia to make a right-hand turn is believed to have triggered a multi-car pile-up last Friday afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first car stopped to make the turn, and the vehicle behind also slowed safely to stop.<\/p>\n

However, another vehicle in the line of traffic, a Kia Sportage, collided with the vehicle ahead of it.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident but the driver of the Kia has been issued with a ticket for following too close to the vehicle ahead.<\/p>\n

His vehicle was also badly damaged in the crash.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Police were suspicious when they saw a 20-year-old man riding a mountain bike along Haly Street, Kingaroy, at 1:30am on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They stopped him, spoke to him and then took him into custody.<\/p>\n

Police will allege the man was in possession of housebreaking equipment (gloves, tools and a torch) and property suspected of being stolen (the mountain bike).<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A 17-year-old man has been charged with possessing graffiti-related items after police located him about 9:30pm on Saturday in the Youngman Street, Kingaroy, area.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The man was wanted on an outstanding wilful damage charge in relation to damage to a flag pole at Taste South Burnett in Alford Street. He has now also been charged with possessing spray paint.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Police pulled over a vehicle that they allege was being driven erratically in the Haly Street and First Avenue area of Kingaroy on Sunday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They identified the driver who they say was breaching his bail curfew conditions, and was an unlicensed driver.<\/p>\n

Suspecting the 29-year-old Kingaroy man was affected by some substance, police took him to Kingaroy Hospital for a blood specimen to be taken.<\/p>\n

His Mitsubishi sedan was impounded.<\/p>\n

The man was remanded in custody when he appeared in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Monday via videolink.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
