Web designer Donna Flynn and Jumping Ant Arts president Catherine Woodham unveiled the Jumping Ant Arts group’s new website at the exhibition’s official opening<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

May 12, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

Red dots peppered the walls of the Kingaroy Art Gallery last Friday night after members of the Jumping Ant Arts group officially unveiled their annual exhibition.<\/p>\n

“Encounters” features 85 works created by 13 of the group’s members, ranging from textiles and jewellery through to pottery and ceramics, watercolours, oils, acrylics, woodcut prints and lino cut relief prints.<\/p>\n

A large number of guests attended the opening night, and many showed their appreciation for the artists by immediately buying their artworks.<\/p>\n

The exhibition was officially opened by Deputy Mayor Cr Keith Campbell, who praised the group for the quality and variety of their output.<\/p>\n

After this, he and his wife Marion purchased a large sculpted ceramic vase from artist Margariet Laughton for their own South Burnett art collection “before someone else buys it”.<\/p>\n

During the course of the evening the group also officially unveiled their new website<\/b><\/a>, which had been put together over many hours by JAA member Donna Flynn.<\/p>\n

Although the new site doesn’t have the feature yet, it’s possible that in future guests won’t have to wait 12 months to purchase artworks from Jumping Ant Arts members; instead, they’ll be available for viewing and ordering through the website.<\/p>\n
