It’s not often that a South Burnett business owner can boast of having the first examples of new cutting-edge technology in Queensland, let alone Australia …<\/p>\n

But Kathy Steinhardt,\u00a0 from Kingaroy Photo Lab, can.<\/p>\n

Installation finished today in her Kingaroy Street store of the first two multi-touch screen photo kiosks in the nation.<\/p>\n

The kiosks will allow customers to edit their photos by pinching, just like on a mobile phone. They can then print to any of the networked devices in the store, including her brand new Epson large format printer.<\/p>\n

They can also have their images printed on coffee mugs, beer steins or mousemats in the store.<\/p>\n

Kayell Australia technician Josh Harvey, who installed the new photo kiosks, said they had been developed in Germany by Di-Support.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Customers can download their files straight from their iPhones or Androids or log-in via the kiosk to their Facebook galleries. There are also the usual range of card readers plus access via CD, DVD, USB etc.<\/p>\n

Kathy said the customer could control the whole process however staff would be on hand to help out if needed.<\/p>\n

The new photo kiosks are the latest in a number of changes at the store, including the installation of a new Epson digital dry lab and renovations including the removal of a wall.<\/p>\n
