Local chef – and southburnett.com.au<\/strong> columnist – Jason Ford will be joining celebrity chefs Matt Golinski and Glen Barratt on stage at the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival later this month.<\/p>\n

As it’s a pumpkin festival, pumpkins will be included in the recipes but the main focus will be on local produce.<\/p>\n

The trio will be cooking with Moya Valley chicken, Bendele Farm duck, Rhodavale pork, Nolans beef and goat.<\/p>\n

This is the seventh time Jason has been invited to cook at the Pumpkin Festival.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Pumpkin Festival has always been a drawcard for well-known food identities,” Jason said.<\/p>\n

“Miguel Maestre from Channel 10\u2019s The Living Room attended last year.”<\/p>\n

This year the chefs will appearing on the Gympie Gold Regional Produce Stage between 9:00am and 2:00pm.<\/p>\n

Matt Golinski is a highly regarded chef with a passion for simple, produce driven cuisine based on seasonal, fresh local ingredients.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Matt is well known as one of the original team members of the popular “Ready Steady Cook” TV series and was a founding partner of the successful Rolling Dolmade catering company.<\/p>\n

After travelling around the world in 1997 to hone his cooking skills, Matt consolidated his reputation as executive chef at Ricky Ricardo\u2019s restaurant at Noosa Heads.<\/p>\n

Glen Barratt has more than two decades experience in some of Brisbane\u2019s most iconic restaurants, including five years as head chef at Restaurant II.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He is now chef at Wild Canary in Brookfield which has its own extensive kitchen garden where they grow herbs, edible flowers and seasonal produce.<\/p>\n

Glen is a keen supporter of farmers markets, local produce and permaculture and is a contributor to ABC Radio 612 with Sunday lunch creations inspired by his own produce.<\/p>\n

Jason Ford is a qualified chef, cookery lecturer, author, food illustrator and columnist.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After completing his apprenticeship, Jason embarked on a successful career in many of Brisbane\u2019s five-star hotels including Royal on the Park, Brisbane Hilton and the Stamford Plaza.<\/p>\n

He currently works as a hospitality teacher and columnist, and spends many of his weekends performing cooking demonstrations at rural festivals and shows.<\/p>\n
