The countdown is on for the Burrandowan Picnic Races. with volunteers and the local community getting ready for their biggest day of the year.<\/p>\n

The race day, on May 9, will start with a blast at 9:00am with the traditional clay target Shoot; food stalls and the bar will open at 11:00am and Race 1 will jump at 1:00pm.<\/p>\n

There is also the all-new High Tea and luncheon hampers. Email burrandowanraces@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong> to book a High Tea ($20) or Luncheon Hamper ($35 for two people).<\/p>\n

Club secretary Carolyn Stone said the committee was once again looking forward to hosting young and old on race day and raising funds for charity.<\/p>\n

“It’s always a wonderful day for people to gather – renewing old friendships and making new ones – and we love seeing the effort everyone goes to for our day,” Carolyn said.<\/p>\n

“We are delighted to be supporting CareFlight once more – every dollar counts when it comes ot rescuing lives and transporting patients.”<\/p>\n

Carolyn said there would be shuttle buses travelling from Kingaroy to the race track, or racegoers can also bring their swags and sleep at the track for free.<\/p>\n

In the evening, the pit-fired barbecue will be going and music will be provided by Kerry Kennedy and Double Barrel.<\/p>\n
