Murgon detectives are appealing for public help to help find the driver of a vehicle that approached a young boy at Durong yesterday.<\/p>\n

Preliminary investigations indicate a nine-year-old boy was waiting for a school bus on Shellytop Road about 8:00am when a Toyota Landcruiser stopped next to him.<\/p>\n

The boy told police the male driver – the sole occupant of the vehicle – tried to entice him into the vehicle several times before repeatedly yelling at him in an attempt to coerce him into the 4WD.<\/p>\n

The boy refused and the vehicle drove off.<\/p>\n

The boy was not physically injured and the man did not get out of the vehicle at any stage.<\/p>\n

The man is described as Caucasian, with a solid build, short brown hair and a scar near his left eye. He was wearing white-rimmed sunglasses and a black singlet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The vehicle is described as an 80s series Toyota Landcruiser, silver\/grey in colour with faded paint in parts and in poor condition.<\/p>\n

It had a black snorkel, black bullbar with a dent in it, one roof rack and side steps.<\/p>\n

There was a large crack on the passenger side front windscreen, from top to bottom and spreading outwards, as well as a smashed driver\u2019s side mirror with small shards of glass left in it.<\/p>\n

The spare tyre on the rear had a black cover over it and a “Ravhead” sticker on the rear window.<\/p>\n

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident, or observed a vehicle of this description in the local area yesterday to contact them.<\/p>\n
