The section of West Coolabunia Road and Semgreens Road that Council plans to seal<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

April 24, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

The South Burnett Regional Council will begin roadworks on a section of West Coolabunia and Semgreens roads, Hodgleigh, on Monday (April 27).<\/p>\n

The project will include realignment and reconstruction of the section of West Coolabunia east of Royles Road and bitumening the northern section of Semgreens Road.<\/p>\n

Works will include clearing, drainage, gravel paving, bitumen sealing, line marking and signage. It is expected the work will take about eight weeks.<\/p>\n

During construction sections of road from the intersection of West Coolabunia and Royles roads to the intersection of Semgreens and Bellbird roads will be temporarily closed with alternate routes available.<\/p>\n

Council also plans to begin roadworks on Ironpot Road, Ironpot, on Monday (April 27).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project will include upgrading a section of unsealed road to bitumen. Works will include clearing, drainage, gravel paving, bitumen sealing, line marking and signage. It is expected the work will take about six weeks.<\/p>\n

During the project, a section of Ironpot Road will be controlled by traffic lights during work hours and traffic will be reduced to one lane. After hours, the road will be opened to two-way traffic.<\/p>\n

If the road cannot be open to two-way traffic after hours for any reason, traffic lights will be in place to control traffic.<\/p>\n

The start of building work at the Kingaroy Police Station means there will be some temporary restrictions to parking in nearby Short Street.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These changes have been made for the safety of motorists and to allow safe entry and exit of the construction site:<\/p>\n
