Planning for this year’s Bloomin’ Beautiful Blackbutt festival is starting to get serious.<\/p>\n

Committee chairman Jeff Connor said today the festival would be held on September 12-13.<\/p>\n

New events for 2015 include visual arts workshops, children’s performance workshops and a live broadcast by Wild Horse FM.<\/p>\n

Jeff is inviting South Burnett residents to become involved in the Festival.<\/p>\n

“Become a participant by putting your club, organisation or ‘not for profit’ on display,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Have a car\/bike rally that ends in Blackbutt then display your member vehicles along the Festival Trail.\u00a0 Display your famous collection of historical pieces or ‘collectibles’. Have a stall that tells your story, promotes your organisation.<\/p>\n

“Book a market stall.”<\/p>\n

Jeff said individuals could become a “Friend” of the festival for $5<\/a> or become a corporate or business sponsor<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

There were also competitions to enter, including photographic, sculpture and “garden in a pot”.<\/p>\n

People interested in taking part in the Street Parade should email Marg Moult<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

There will also be plein air painting along the Festival Trail. For more information, contact Gus McAulay<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Blackbutt businesses which would like to enter the Decorated Window Competition or residents who would like to enter their garden in the Festival Garden competition should contact Jeanette Berry<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Musicians who would like to be a part of the \u201cBoots and Bulldust Bands at the Butt\u201d should email Sandy Towell<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
