Urban and rural fire crews attended a grass fire in Kingaroy’s Alford Street East this morning<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

April 15, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kingaroy urban and local rural firefighters are monitoring the paddock behind PCA’s Technical Centre in Alford Street East after a grass fire broke out in the area on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

A large plume of smoke loomed above the Kingaroy CBD briefly from about 11:15am but no properties were under threat.<\/p>\n

Firefighters quickly had the flames extinguished.<\/p>\n

Police have spoken to some children seen in the area but investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n

The Youth Park and BMX track in Somerset Street were not affected.<\/p>\n
