Others just got together for fun and socialising.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a wrap-up of the week, with hyper-acftive Yarraman leading the bulletin:<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Yarraman News<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>With Yarraman\u2019s Pines Carnival only a couple of weeks away, social trophy games are giving the locals plenty of opportunities to brush up on their skills.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Yarraman Games Director snapped on an extra trophy day for Easter Sunday. Fourteen bowlers came along relishing the opportunity to get in some early practice.<\/p>\n<p>Results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Winners: John Moore and Di Currell def. Rob Douglass and Jenny Moore 24-15<\/li>\n<li>Runners up: Kev Profke and Tom Clarke def. Neil Johnston and Margaret Willoughby 18-11<\/li>\n<li>Other scores: Todd Currell, Bev Profke and Wayne Emms def. Neil Currell, Sandra Currell and Marge Clarke 15-14<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Easter Monday saw one game of Men&#8217;s Championship Singles played. After being 17-all with five ends to go. Kev Profke ultimately defeated George Wolski 25-18.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_102616\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-102616\" style=\"width: 740px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150411-bowls31.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-102616\" title=\"20150411 Horst Meyer\" src=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150411-bowls31.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150411-bowls31.jpg 620w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150411-bowls31-300x186.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-102616\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Yarraman President Horst Meyer was full of concentration when he rolled down a winner to take the end in his A Singles clash with Brian Dugdell (Photo: Jim Bond)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Four more Singles Championships games were played on Thursday and the matches attracted quite a gallery.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A match that was of great interest was between Horst Meyer and Brian Dugdell (ie the President and the Immediate Past President).<\/p>\n<p>Brian, last year\u2019s runner-up got away to a good start leading 6-2 early.<\/p>\n<p>But then Horst picked up the speed of the green, leading by 10-9 on the ninth before scooting away to take out the match 25-14.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Another match of interest was between Graham Heaton and KK. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was pretty even going early: four-all at the sixth and even stevens to the 17th.<\/p>\n<p>After that, Kerry fell away and Graham stomped home, taking a four on the 24th to put 28-17 on the scoreboard.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_102617\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-102617\" style=\"width: 740px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150411-bowls15.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-102617\" title=\"20150411 Currell family\" src=\"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150411-bowls15.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150411-bowls15.jpg 620w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150411-bowls15-300x186.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-102617\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Currell family put on costumes to cheer on their family in A Championship Singles matches (Photo: Jim Bond)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>The match between Kevin Profke and Todd Currell attracted a lot of family interest.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This was also a very even game early on, with the score 10-all by the 10th.<\/p>\n<p>Then Kevin put the pressure on, comfortably winning 25-19 after 24 ends.<\/p>\n<p>The game between Merv Fitch and Neil Currell was another great match to watch.<\/p>\n<p>Neil got away to a good start, leading 11-6 on the 12th, and it looked like Neil had Merv\u2019s measure.<\/p>\n<p>However a couple of tight ends soon changed the picture, with Merv taking a couple on a measure.<\/p>\n<p>From there on, the wily Tanduringie farmer really ramped up the pressure, ultimately taking out the match 28-17<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Wednesday saw one game of Ladies Pairs Championships played, with Helene Johnson and Daphne Stewart defeating Bev Profke and Di Currell 24-12.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And the winners of Wednesday&#8217;s social trophy day were Kev Profke, Lola Harper and Jenny Moore.<\/p>\n<p>It is winter drawers on Thursday night, and social play will come to an end in a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Results of this weeks play:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>George Wolski and Kerry Walsh def.
