Radio US Mob trainee Shane Dynevor made a big sacrifice this week … his lost his much-loved dreadlocks to raise funds for cancer.<\/p>\n

Shane looked decidedly nervous before the big event, which was broadcast live and also attracted a large crowd of onlookers outside the Us Mob studios in Cherbourg on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

He just couldn’t stop twirling his dreads, knowing all too well that they were about to disappear.<\/p>\n

Tyrone Murray, from oriGINAl hair by GINA, showed no mercy and quickly whipped off the flowing locks.<\/p>\n

Shane has been raising money since last year and more was made on the morning from a sausage sizzle.<\/p>\n

The Murgon State High School student is doing a Certificate III in Broadcasting as a school-based traineeship at Us Mob.<\/p>\n

He decided to do the shave in memory of family members – an aunty and a cousin – who had cancer.<\/p>\n

And how did it feel after the shave? Shane had one word: “Breezy!”<\/p>\n
