Three fire crews from Kingaroy, plus the Stuart River Rural Fire Brigade, attended a fire at the Kingaroy tip in the early hours of this morning.<\/p>\n

QFRS Kingaroy Station officer Bruce Groer said about 100 square metres of rubbish was on fire.<\/p>\n

“It is more than likely that the fire was caused by spontaneous combustion,” he said.<\/p>\n

Firefighters put water and a blanket of foam over the fire to extinguish the flames.<\/p>\n

Council workers then used earthmoving equipment to cover the area.<\/p>\n

Three people were taken to Kingaroy Hospital with minor injuries this morning after a three-car pile-up in Kingaroy Street.<\/strong><\/p>\n
