An elderly man was seriously injured when he was trampled by cattle on a private property near Murgon on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called at 1:38pm.
An RACQ LifeFlight spokesperson said it was believed the man, aged in his 70s, was tagging cattle when an animal knocked him to the ground and stomped on him for several minutes.
The man managed to get out of the cattle yard and drove himself to a nearby farmhouse where his wife called emergency services.
Ambulance paramedics treated the patient at the scene for upper body injuries.
A QAS spokesperson said the patient was transported to Murgon Hospital in a serious condition with multiple significant injuries.
An RACQ LifeFlight helicopter was called to the hospital and airlifted the man to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a serious but stable condition.
