Kingaroy Men’s Shed now has some of the latest computer equipment thanks to the very grateful son of one of the members.

Mike Andrea, from Oper8 computer services in Brisbane, was very impressed with how the group had welcomed his recently widowed dad Bob into the group a year ago.

When he heard they needed a computer, he was happy to help.

The Kingaroy Men’s Shed held its Annual General Meeting last week, and president Eric Ford reflected on a busy year which included successful funding applications, the installation of two and three-phase power at the bottom half of the shed, a breakfast on top of Mt Wooroolin on Easter Sunday, and field trips to Woodgate, Murgon, Booie and Toowoomba.

A large compressor was bought and installed on the eastern wall of the shed, with air lines throughout the building, and a skip bin installed for hard waste.

Eric Ford was re-elected president at the AGM.

Other executive members elected were vice-president Phil Day, secretary Thomas Johnson, treasurer Geoff Smallbone and committee members John Harrison and Phill Bowman.

Elected at the recent AGM were John Harrison, Phill Bowman, Thomas Johnson and Phil Day (missing Geoff Smallbone)
