Jeff and Bev O’Shannessy, centre, surrounded by workers from Endeavour’s Kingaroy Kirchen on Friday

December 21, 2014

A special lunch was held at Endeavour’s Kingaroy Kitchen on Friday to farewell biscuit cook Bev O’Shannessy.

Bev has been leading a team of supported workers for 10 years, making the popular Endeavour biscuits.

She also helps to assemble Endeavour hampers, a popular product at this time of the year.

Her husband Jeff, who works at Endeavour doing deliveries and other despatch jobs, will also be retiring soon, on February 13.

“It’s time to retire,” Bev said. “We’re going to do some travelling. We’re going to turn into grey nomads. The caravan’s ready to go!”

  1. Congratulations on a job well done Bev (& Jeff) ! I will certainly miss your friendly welcomes when visiting Kingaroy Kitchen & just hope next years’ batches of biscuits are as good as yours :-) Enjoy your retirement as at last you get to put your feet up.
