South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Business XL - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a Business XL networking event at Kingaroy RSL's White Room in Alford Street, Kingaroy at 5:30pm this evening. The event will feature displays and guest speakers from local businesses; the unveiling of the Council's Localised B2B platform; and a workshop focussing on how to use local data for business marketing. Maidenwell QCWA Meeting
The Maidenwell branch of the QCWA will be holding their monthly meeting at the Maidenwell Hall Supper Room from 8:45am this morning (when things will kick off with a welcoming cuppa) through until this afternoon. The branch meeting itself will commence at 9:30am and all ladies in the Maidenwell and Bunya Mountains areas are very welcome to come along and meet the other branch members! Wondai Neighbourhood Watch Meeting
The Wondai Neighbourhood Watch group will be holding their regular monthly meeting from 7:30pm to about 9:30pm tonight at the Wondai Diggers Club in Mackenzie Street. All local residents are very welcome to attend.
Nanango Panthers AGM
The Nanango Panthers soccer club will be making a second attempt to hold their Annual General Meeting at the club's headquarters in the Burnett Street sports fields at 7:00pm this evening. The original AGM on January 22 was unable to elect a committee, and the club will have to fold if it's still unable to form a committee tonight. Last year more than 100 players from juniors to seniors wore the Panthers' colours and the senior men took out the premiership - but a lack of volunteers in recent years is now threatening the club's future. The South Burnett Chorale will be holding their regular Tuesday practice night at the Church of Christ Hall at the corner of Haly and Burnett Streets in Kingaroy from 7:00pm to 9:00pm this evening. Nanango Scout Group
The Nanango Scout Club - which meets every Tuesday night during school terms - will be holding its regular weekly meeting at the Scout Den at 40 Henry Street, Nanango (just next to the police station) from 5:30pm to around 7:00pm tonight. The group currently has three sections in operation: Joeys (for children aged 6 to 8 years); Cubs (8-11 years); and Scouts (11-15 years). Tuesday Night Indoor Bowls - Wondai
The Wondai Indoor Bowls Club will be holding its regular Tuesday meeting at the Wondai Town Hall in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 7:30pm this evening. Nanango Army Cadets Enrolment Afternoon
Nanango's 177 Army Cadet Unit will be holding an information and enrolment afternoon at 54 Elk Street, Nanango from 4:30pm to 5:30pm today. The Australian Army Cadets (AAC) is a youth development program sponsored by the Australian Defence Force which provides opportunities for young people aged 13 to 18 years to obtain personal challenges and growth, enhanced self-esteem, self discipline and adventurous enjoyment in a military setting. Danny's Diner
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. Alcoholics Anonymous - Nanango
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
