New Year's Eve Family Rodeo - Goomeri
The Goomeri and District Show Society will be holding their popular annual New Year's Eve Family Rodeo at the Goomeri Showgrounds today and tonight to help ring in the New Year. Gates will open and junior rodeo action will commence at 8:00am; pre-performance events will begin at 1:00pm; and the main rodeo will kick off around 5:00pm and continue into the evening. The event is a full bull & bronc NRA-affiliated Rodeo so you can be certain of seeing some really top class rodeo action. Events on offer include an Open Bull Ride, Saddle and Bareback Broncs, Time Event Stock and the must-have Poddy Ride for all the junior cowboys and cowgirls. And after the rodeo concludes there'll be toe-tapping live entertainment until late. A fully licensed bar and BBQ will be operating all day and night, and there's also free unpowered camping sites available on the grounds if you want to stay over after the party winds down around 1:00am. Entry fees are $20 for adults, $15 for young people aged 12 to 17 (under-12s are free) or $50 for a family of four. Everyone is welcome! More details? Email the Goomeri Show Society.
New Years Eve Fireworks At Lake Boondooma
Boondooma Dam west of Proston will be ringing in the New Year with fireworks and live music tonight. There'll be a licensed bar open until late, food stalls, a band and a 9:00pm fireworks show (for families that need to get the children to bed) plus a second fireworks show for adults at midnight. New Years Eve At The Palace - Nanango
The Palace Hotel in Drayton Street, Nanango will be holding a big New Year's Eve Party with a Hawaiian theme to welcome in 2019 from 5:00pm this afternoon through to 2:00am tomorrow morning. A wide range of popular local entertainers like Natalie Fenton, Funadix, Lloyd Back, Chrissy Lauder, Lumberjack Lane and Dan Newland will be performing, and there'll be a jumping castle and face-painting to keep children amused until 10:00pm. There'll also be lots of raffles to help build an inclusive playground Nanango's Butter Factory park. In addition, the Palace will be offering free pick-up and drop-off to Nanango town residents from 5:00pm to 2:00am as well, so you can leave the car at home and welcome in the New Year in style. New Year's Eve Trivia - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Dance Supporters Group will be hosting "The 90s - The Ultimate Nostalgia Game Show" at Trades Hall inside the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street from 7:00pm until late tonight. The evening will feature bingo, trivia, music, video games and prizes, and there'll be a jumping castle onsite to keep children amused, too. A BBQ and hot food will be available for purchase from 6:00pm, and a licensed bar will be operating as well (no BYO). Tickets are just $20 for adults or $15 for children, but U5s are free. New Year's Eve Party - Cooyar
The Cooyar Hotel on the New England Highway at Cooyar will be ringing in the New Year with a $30 per head all-you-can-eat Rib and Prawn Night from 6:30pm this evening, followed by live entertainment from popular South Burnett entertainer Arthur Nettelfield. New Years Eve Party - Kingaroy
Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street will be holding a New Years Eve Party with a glow in the dark theme and live music from Robert Early from 8:00pm until late tonight. Guests are encouraged to dress in neon colours so they'll shine brightly under black lights. There'll also be $8 snack baskets available from 7-11pm, plus raffles. More details? New Year's Eve Dance - Booie Hall
A New Year's Eve Dance will be held at Booie Hall at 1226 Booie Road, Booie from 8:00pm until late tonight. Old Time dance music will be supplied by a local group and there'll be a great supper, novelties and a lucky door prize, too. Admission is $10 for adults, or $5 for high school students and non-dancers, and a portion of tonight's proceeds will go to a local charity. News Years Eve At The Com.Pub - Kingaroy
Kingaroy's Commercial Hotel at the corner of Glendon and Haly Streets will be holding a New Years Eve Party from 8:00pm until late tonight, kicking off with popular band Mr Q and followed by DJ's from 10:00pm until late.
