Note: This festival is usually held in June, but it was set back a month this year by the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure it complies with current restrictions.
30th Anniversary Of Wondai Air Crash
- A commemoration service will be held at the crash site memorial near Wondai Airport on the Wondai-Proston Road north of the town's CBD at around 11:45am this morning to mark the 30th anniversary of a tragic 1990 plane crash that claimed five lives. The service will be followed by light refreshments at the Wondai Diggers Club in Mackenzie Street.
