Linville Heritage Festival
The third (and final) day of the inaugural, three day Linville Heritage Festival will be held at Linville and Moore today to celebrate 110 years since the first train arrived at Linville. At Linville, the action will kick off with breakfast pancakes at Linville Hall from 7:00am to 8:30am, followed by a performance from the Camerata Chamber Orchestra between 9:00am and 10:00am. In Moore, The Old Church Gallery will be hosting its third display of a photographic exhibition about the Linville Picnic Races (from 10:00am to 3:00pm), and back at Linville, the Linville Store will be offering pies, pasties, spuds and milkshakes on the lawn from 11:00am to 3:00pm. At noon, there'll be a Country Lunch At The Pub with live music from Matthew Wild that will run until 2:30pm, while over at Moore the Old Church Gallery will be running a Farmer's Plate Lunch from noon to 2:00pm for a maximum of 35 people. Free camping will be available in the centre of the village if you want to stay over, and some of today's events will require advance booking and a fee.
Sunday Poker - Kingaroy
Sunday afternoon poker games will be played at Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy today. Registrations start at 2:00pm and play begins at 2:30pm. All games are free to play and there are prizes for first, second and third. More details? Phone the RSL on (07) 4162-1755
Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Kilkivan Railway Markets
The weekly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning.
