KCCI Meet & Greet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be holding its regular six-weekly meet'n'greet for local businesspeople at Astill's Electrical in Kingaroy Street from 5:15pm this evening. Tonight's speakers will include Mick and Amanda Astill and representatives from BIEDO. Cost is $10 per person - which includes nibbles and drinks - and the meeting is open to everyone, whether they're KCCI members or not. For catering purposes, though, an RSVP by email by October 20 would be greatly appreciated.
Coffee & Crafts Morning - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy QCWA will be holding a Coffee & Crafts Morning at their rooms at 122 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (just next to the RSL) from 9:00am to around noon today. Ladies are welcome to bring along their crafts, something to share for morning tea and a gold coin donation for charity, and enjoy a relaxed get-together over tea and coffee. Public Meeting - Kumbia
A public meeting will be held at Kumbia Memorial Hall in Bell Street, Kumbia at 6:00pm this evening to discuss developing a community plan for the town. The meeting will explore what sort of upgrades or new amenities residents would like to see built in Kumbia over coming years, and various ways that these could be funded. Indoor Bowls - Wondai
The Wondai Indoor Bowls Club will be holding its regular Tuesday meeting at the Wondai Town Hall in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 7:30pm this evening. Three games of 12 ends are played, lasting up to three hours, and playing fees are $3. Proston Men's Shed
The Proston Men's Shed will be meeting at the old railway station building at Railway Park in Rodney Street, Proston for its regular Tuesday meeting today, kicking off with a cuppa at 9:00am. A South Burnett Women in Business Breakfast will be held at Wondai's Colonial Motel on the Bunya Highway at Wondai from 6:30am this morning. The breakfast is exclusively for women who run their own businesses and guest speakers are Jay Rose from Rosegold Legal and Elaine and Sherree Raffin from Wondai Electrical. Breakfast is $18 per head - payable to the motel on arrival - and an RSVP is essential to help plan the catering. Taking Care Of Business - Murgon
BIEDO will be hosting the first session of a "Taking Care Of Business" series of workshops at their premises in 80 Gore Street, Murgon from 10:00am to 2:00pm today. Today's workshop will focus on business planning and cashflow forecasts, and participants are encouraged to bring along their own laptop. Cost is $22 - including lunch - and after the workshop a copy of the templates used will be supplied on a USB. Spaces are limited, though, so an RSVP is essential. You can make one by emailing BIEDO.
Kumbia QCWA Meeting
The QCWA Kumbia Branch in Bell Street will be opening its doors at 9.00am this morning for a cuppa, followed by its monthly branch meeting at 9:30am. After this formality has been attended to, though, members focus on friendship and fun through sharing their skills in traditional and contemporary art and handcraft activities for the remainder of the morning and into the afternoon. Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. Alcoholics Anonymous - Nanango
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
