Saturday Rugby League - Nanango
This weekend's local league competition will be played at Fred Kassulke Oval on the D'Aguilar Highway south of Nanango's CBD today, and since it's the last round before the local competition enters this year's finals series there should be some very hard-fought footy on show. Matches will start at 8:00am with an U14s game between Nanango and Murgon, which will be followed by U15s at 9:00am (South Burnett v Dalby); U16s at 10:00am (South Burnett v Dalby); and then the first South Burnett A Grade match at 11:30am when Murgon's Mustangs take on the Cherbourg Hornets. After this - at 1:00pm - a woman's match (spot the South Burnett players) will played between Valleys and Newtown. This will be followed by the second South Burnett A Grade match at 2:15pm between Nanango's Stags and Kingaroy's Red Ants. At 3:45pm, the South Burnett U18s will hit the field against Valleys. South Burnett Juniors (U6s and U8s) will play their games on a second field between 9:00am and noon. At 5:15pm, a Toowoomba Rugby League A Grade game will be played between Toowoomba Valleys and Newtown Lions. NB. Newtown has forfeited the TRL Reserve Grade game that was to be played at 5:15pm, which means the A Grade game has been brought forward from the previously advertised time.
