Public Consultation Meetings - Kingaroy and Wondai
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding two public consultation meetings in Kingaroy and Wondai today to discuss its draft Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Plan, which recommends "rationalising" a number of the region's parks. The Kingaroy meeting will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall Reception Room from 9:00am to 11:00am; and the Wondai meeting will be held at Coronation Park in the centre of town from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The full plan can be downloaded from Council's website (12Mb PDF) but if you don't have time to wade through all 113 pages, its recommendations for Kingaroy are on pages 55-56; Kumbia on page 82; Memerambi on page 84; and Wooroolin on page 85. Wondai parks slated for action are on page 74, and Tingoora parks are on page 86. The Council has said it will not consider any inputs that aren't made in writing, but if you object to any particular recommendation you can obtain the official two page Feedback form from Council's website. If this issue is new to you, you can also read more about it on our website.
