South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Back To Basics Music Muster - Proston
The second (and final) day of the annual Back To Basics Music Muster will be held at 1385 Proston-Boondooma Road (west of Proston) from 9:00am to 2:00pm today. This year's Muster will be compered by Gary Fogarty and will feature performances from Kerry Kennedy, Glen Albrecht, Vanessa Sanger, Natalie Fenton, Graheme Doubleday and Brian Howard. There's also free camping onsite, toilets (but no showers) and some food available, but guests should BYO seating and liquid refreshments and COVIDSafe rules will apply. Tickets to the Muster are $50 per head and need to be booked in advance. You can find out more and/or obtain them by phoning Mike on 0412-884-482
Sunday Poker - Kingaroy
Sunday afternoon poker games will be played at Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy today. Registrations start at 2:00pm and play begins at 2:30pm. All games are free to play and there are prizes for first, second and third. More details? Phone the RSL on (07) 4162-1755
Festival Of The Dams - Lake Boondooma
The second (and final) day of the weekend-long Festival Of The Dams fishing competition will be held at Boondooma Dam west of Proston today. Up to 50 teams will be competing in the two-day event, but there's plenty of fun to be had for spectators too, with markets and food vans opening from breakfast onwards. The festival is being sponsored by the South Burnett Regional Council and inexpensive caravan and camping sites and cabins can be booked from the Lake Boondooma Tourist Park. Final competition winners will be announced around lunch time.
