Arts Forum - Kingaroy
Arts Queensland and the South Burnett Regional Council will be hosting a public forum at the Kingaroy Town Hall Supper Room in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 3:30pm to 6:30pm this afternoon to consult on a 10-year plan for the arts in Queensland. The South Burnett is the only inland region being consulted in the two-month window the State Government has set for this consultation process. Right now, the arts generate an estimated $86 billion a year to the national economy, more than the transport industry, and an estimated 80,000 Queenslanders are involved in the creative industries. Apart from improving the general quality of life, the arts also help drive everything from tourism to economic growth - so everyone with an interest in the arts is encouraged to attend today's discussion and express their views.
