Candidates Forum - Nanango
The Nanango Tourism And Development Association (NaTDA) will be hosting a public Candidates Forum at Taras Hall next to Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango at 6:30pm this evening (doors open at 6:00pm). Division 1 and Division 2 Councillors Roz Frohloff and Gavin Jones - who've been re-elected unopposed for the next term - will be asked to briefly outline what they hope to accomplish over the coming four years, after which all four Mayoral candidates (Keith Campbell, Abigail Andersson, Brett Otto and Toni Ralph) will be asked to give a short presentation on why they should be elected, then answer questions from the floor. The evening will be compered by former Nanango councillor Barry Green and will provide the public with the chance to become better acquainted with candidates for the up-coming Council elections. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
Under The Bonnet - Kingaroy
Kingaroy police will be holding a free Under The Bonnet workshop at the Bill Hull Car Centre at the corner of Kingaroy and Avoca Streets, Kingaroy from 5:30pm to around 8:00pm tonight to commemorate International Women's Day. The workshop will teach guests about personal safety, road safety and basic car maintenance skills, and men and women of all ages are encouraged to attend. Canapes and cold drinks will be provided, too, but numbers are limited so an RSVP to help plan the catering would be greatly appreciated. Women's Health Talk - Blackbutt
Mobile Women's Health Officer Marcia Hunt will be hosting a Women's Health Talk & Morning Tea at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 9:30am to around noon this morning, followed by a clinic running from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. The Kingaroy Croquet Club will be playing croquet games at the Kingaroy Cricket Club in Youngman Street, Kingaroy (just next to Beangrowers) from 9:00am to around noon this morning. Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango will be running Tuesday Night Bingo Games from 5:30pm tonight (eyes down at 6:30pm). Coffee & Crafts Morning - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy QCWA will be holding a Coffee & Crafts Morning at their rooms at 122 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (just next to the RSL) from 9:30am to around noon today. Ladies are welcome to bring along their crafts, something to share for morning tea and a gold coin donation for charity, and enjoy a relaxed get-together over tea and coffee. Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. Alcoholics Anonymous - Nanango
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
