2022 Kingaroy Show & Bull Ride

The first day of the two-day 2022 Kingaroy Show will be held at Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street from 8:00am until late tonight. In addition to the usual big range of horse, cattle and equestrian events, this year's Show will also feature Tractor Pulls; a Ute Show; Aussie FMX Freestyle Motocross; a Woodchops; a Dog Show; vintage machinery; a big display of caged birds; specialty food vans; and a lot more besides. There'll also be a jaw-dropping Sideshow Alley that's always the biggest in the region. This year's Show will wrap up tonight with a Bull Ride from 5:00pm, followed by live entertainment from Kevin Smith running from 7:30pm until late. Single day tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children aged 12-17 and pensioners (under-12s can get in for free if accompanied by a paying adult). Bantam Show - Murgon
The Murgon and District Bantam Club will be holding its third annual Bantam Show at the Murgon Showgrounds in Macalister Street today. All birds will be in their pens by 8:30am with judging to start at 9:00am under the stewardship of Adam Jannusch from Kingsthorpe. There'll be all sorts of bantams on display - both soft feather and hard feather varieties - along with a canteen serving breakfast, morning teas and lunches, with free coffee and tea available all day along with free admission. Exhibitors are coming from all over south east Queensland, and everyone is welcome.
Kaimkillenbun Trail Ride
The Kaimkillenbun P&C will be holding their 24th annual Kaimkillenbun Trail Ride through farm paddocks and the foothills of the Bunya Mountains at Rangemore Road, Moola (near Kaimkillenbun) from 8:30am to 2:00pm today. The ride will offer an Open Track, an U16s Track and a Pee Wee Track, and ride fees range from $20 for Pee Wees through to $55 for adults - but it's a strictly cash-only event. Yarraman Country Music Friends
The Country Music Friends will be holding their first Sunday of the month informal concert at the Yarraman Memorial Hall in Browne Street, Yarraman from 1:00pm this afternoon. This ACMA-affiliated club meets every month except January, and the $4 admission fee (U16s are free) includes a great afternoon tea. New players are always very welcome! More details? High Tea At Dimities - Wondai
Dimities Cottage in Haly Street, Wondai (just opposite the art gallery) will be running a High Tea from 10:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. Nanango and Districts Aeromodellers Fly-In
The Nanango and Districts Aeromodellers club will be holding the second day of a two-day Fly In at their airfield at 437 Smiths Road, Nanango today. The event is open to all model airplane and drone enthusiasts, and guests will be coming from many other model flying clubs so spectators will have plenty to see as well. While most of the club's focus is on traditional aeroplanes, a special area will be set aside for drones with hoops, flags and banners which will allow fliers to test their skills. The club will also be running some novelty events during the two days including ribbon cutting, limbo, and landing in a circle. There will also be raffle tickets on sale for a very nice prize, with the winner drawn on Sunday around lunchtime for the benefit of those who have to leave early. Sunday Golf - Murgon
The Murgon Golf Club on the Bunya Highway south of the CBD will be holding the second day of their two-day Christine Brunjes & Charlie Renouf Memorial Golf Weekend, and today's feature match will be an 18 hole single strike for men and women suitable for golfers and non-golfers alike. Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. 2022 Kingaroy Eisteddfod
The annual Kingaroy Eisteddfod will be running at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 8:30pm until about 5:00pm this afternoon. Today is the third day of dance entries, and the public is very welcome to come along and watch. Entry fees per session are $5 for adults, $3 for pensioners and children under 5 are free. The Eisteddfod will conclude on Sunday, May 8th.
Sunday Poker - Kingaroy

Ladies Chip & Sip Golf Day - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt Golf Club at 51 Langton Road in Blackbutt will be holding their first-ever Ladies Chip & Sip Day from 8:30am until after lunch today. The event is a great opportunity to join in with other like-minded women for a fun, social day on the golf course, and golfing equipment will be provided if you don't have clubs.
