A Nanango man was refused bail in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday after allegedly driving at speeds of up to 192km/h on the M1 motorway in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police will allege that Dylan Edgecombe, 21, was clocked by police doing 134km/h on the Pacific Motorway at Nerang just before 3:00am on Sunday.
Edgecombe allegedly accelerated away from police, who claim he reached 192km/h at one point.
He did not enter a plea to charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and failing to stop for police.
Magistrate Dermot Keogh denied bail as Edgecombe was on parole at the time the offences were allegedly committed.
