Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington and Opposition Leader Tim Nicholls … the LNP have made a $69.75 million commitment to Nanango Electorate

The LNP has made a total of $69.75 million in election promises to the Nanango Electorate which it has committed to fulfil if it wins government at the November 25 State Election.

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington released the full list of projects for Nanango on Friday:

  • $15 million to widen the single-lane section of the Mundubbera-Durong Road
  • $35 million to rebuild and realign the Boyne River Bridge on the Mundubbera-Durong Road
  • $5 million to realign and replace the single-lane Cooyar Bridge on the New England Highway
  • $5 million to realign and replace the dangerous Running Creek Bridge near Woolooga
  • $4.5 million to fix single-lane sections of the Kilkivan-Tansey Road
  • $2.5 million to widen the southern single-lane section of the Byee Road
  • $1.1 million towards sealing the Maidenwell-Bunya Mountains Road
  • $1.1 million to fix key sections of the Brisbane Valley Highway
  • $400,000 to establish a ‘South Burnett Clubhouse’ to help people struggling with mental illness reconnect with the community
  • $100,000 for a cost-benefit study for mid-Brisbane River irrigators
  • $50,000 for a portable ultrasound machine for the Emergency Department at Kingaroy Hospital
  • Commitment to help the Yarraman Men’s Shed establish in the old DAF forestry shed

“On top of this is our commitment to deliver the brand new $62 million Kingaroy Hospital,” Mrs Frecklington said.

“And for the Somerset region, there is a $2 million commitment to rebuild Lowood Police Station and $1 million to support Lockyer irrigators develop a business case for a water pipeline to increase water security.

“This is a huge commitment to the people of the Nanango Electorate and if the LNP forms government after this election, I will be so pleased to see these vital projects delivered.”
