FLASHBACK: ABC radio host Belinda Sanders, Carolyn Knudsen and Fiona Kemp (SBRC), and ABC Open producer Ben Tupas during an ABC Southern Queensland visit to the South Burnett in 2015

November 6, 2017

Popular ABC Radio host Belinda Sanders will be a special guest speaker at this year’s Mayor’s Community Christmas Lunch.

The lunch is run each December, and the proceeds are converted to $50 shopping vouchers which are then given to local charities such as the Salvation Army and Centacare to distribute.

Last year’s lunch raised $5000, which helped make the lives of 100 South Burnett residents a little brighter at Christmas.

This year’s lunch will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall between noon and 2:00pm on Friday, December 8.

Apart from lunch, it will feature live music from Misfitz, raffles, and Christmas carols performed by Sue Dowideit-Reiger and the Kingaroy State High School Choir.

Popular TV personality Heather Foord will also be a special guest at the event.

Tickets to the lunch are $25 per head and can be purchased from any of the Council’s Customer Service Centres, or by sending an RSVP to Bronwyn Barry on (07) 4189-9155 or by emailing her.

In order to plan the catering, tickets need to be purchased by Wednesday, November 29.
