Deputy Premier Jackie Trad made a quick visit to Gympie on Wednesday to announce more than $6 million worth of “Works for Queensland” projects in the region.

The good news for Goomeri residents is that the local library will receive an $80,000 upgrade, both inside and out.

The works will also improve access to the building.

The Kinbombi Falls tourist area, just outside Goomeri, will also be getting a makeover.

Hand rails and stairs will provide a safer tourist experience.

This work will cost $250,000.
