Agents yarded 650 in Murgon on Tuesday, where values seemed to remain fairly firm on the previous sale.

The current dry paddock conditions are now obviously taking their toll, especially on heavier adult cattle.

But better lines of weaner steers sold well, and so did fresher killable vealer heifers.
However numbers of both feeder steers and heifers were in short supply.

Cattle were consigned from Coringa, Mt Perry, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Yarraman, Nanango, Kingaroy and the Murgon district.
