Clients of the Blackbutt Medical Centre will soon have easier pedestrian access, thanks to a new footpath on the southern side of Coulson Street which will connect it to the heart of town

July 21, 2017

The South Burnett Regional Council will begin laying a new concrete footpath in Blackbutt on Monday, July 24.

The footpath will be laid on the southern side between Pine Street and Sutton Street, connecting the Blackbutt Medical Centre to the heart of town.

It is expected the work will be completed in August, weather permitting.

In order to provide a safe work environment during construction, pedestrian traffic will be diverted past the works, and only minor disruptions are anticipated.

The Council advises that residents may not be able to access their properties at times when the immediate works are at their driveways, but the project’s onsite supervisor will notify affected residents in advance.

Anyone with concerns about property access should also speak to the onsite supervisor, or contact Council’s Customer Service Centres on (07) 4189-9100.
