The cover of the State Government's discussion paper for Agriculture (see links below)

July 18, 2017

Farmers and agribusiness have just 10 days to have a say on what the shape of research, development and extension in the agriculture and food sectors should look like over the next 10 years.

The State Government is developing a “roadmap” as part of its Advance Queensland initiative, a $405 million suite of programs designed to create the knowledge-based jobs of the future.

A discussion paper (6.3Mb PDF) has been released which includes a range of questions for landholders to consider.

Feedback can be submitted at any of the seven forums being held around the State.

The nearest to the South Burnett is at Toowoomba on Thursday (July 20) from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Picnic Point, 164 Tourist Road.

Registrations can be made on the Eventbrite website

Feedback can also be submitted online

Alternately, download the response form (527kb PDF) and email it to AgricultureRoadmap@daf.qld.gov.au or post it to R&D Policy and Partnerships, Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, GPO Box 267, Brisbane, Qld, 4001

Submissions close at 5:00pm on Friday, July 28.
