The Toowoomba Tigers just couldn’t get away from the Saints’ defence

South Burnett Saints celebrated its annual Heritage Day on Saturday with a return to its old Bulldogs strip … and a massive win over the Toowoomba Tigers.

This is the Saints’ sixth win in a row, which gave the many South Burnett supporters on the sidelines something else to celebrate.

South Burnett kicked nine goals in the first three quarters, leaving the visitors shell-shocked.

In comparison, the Tigers managed just four goals for the whole game.

The final score was 32.23 (215) to 4.10 (34).

South Burnett goals were kicked by Jordan Pressnell (9), Nathan Trace (5), Jack Hourn (4), Mitchell Francis (3), Keegan Wright (3), Brent Snow (2), Joseph Amery, Brad Edwards, Braeden Snow, Adam Bowater, Kyall Shepherd and Ben Pressnell.

The Saints’ next game will be in Goondiwindi on July 8 against the Hawks.

The Toowoomba Tigers reversed the scoreline outcome against the Saints’ women.

Tigers finished 26.22 (178) to South Burnett 0.1 (1).

South Burnett have the bye this weekend. Their next game will be against the Dalby Swans at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy on July 15.

The Saints danced away with the win in their heritage guernseys …
