A 24-year-old motocross rider has been airlifted to hospital after an incident near Cooyar on Monday morning.

The Gold Coast man was riding at the Motocross Mountain park when he crashed, suffering a suspected broken leg.

RACQ LifeFlight’s Sunshine Coast-based helicopter was called to the park at 10:50am.

LifeFlight personnel assisted Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics at the scene.

The man was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.
