The Tangy Mexican Salsa peanuts which have been recalled

January 23, 2017

The Peanut Company of Australia (PCA) is recalling a batch of its “Picky Picky Peanuts” brand flavoured peanuts because of an undeclared allergen.

The recall affects 80g packets of the Tangy Mexican Salsa flavoured peanuts with a Best Before date of July 2017 (batch number F3666-HNFN).

The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared dairy allergen.

Consumers who have a dairy allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.

The recall notice from PCA advises consumers who have a dairy allergy or intolerance not to eat the product.

“Customers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full cash refund. If purchased online, customers should destroy the product and will receive a full refund. We apologise for any inconvenience.”

The Tangy Mexican Salsa flavoured peanuts were sold at IGA and other independent grocery and convenience stores, fruit markets, BWS and other liquor outlets, Woolworths Fuel, Taste South Burnett, Clovely Estate City Cellar Door, Dusty Hill Vineyard and Super Butcher in NSW, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia.
