November 24, 2016

The Federal Government’s Mobile Service Centre “Desert Rose’” is coming to Goomeri.

The custom-built vehicle provides access to government services.

“Desert Rose has the same technology on board as any bricks and mortar service centre,” Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien said.

“(It) provides access to other services, such as free hearing checks.

“A staff member from the Australian Taxation Office will also be available to assist individual and small business taxpayers, to provide advice and information about tax and superannuation.

“Staff will also be able to help people register for myGov, a fast, simple way to access ATO and other government services online.

“Desert Rose” will be parked outside the Goomeri Swimming Pool from 9:30am to 3:00pm on Tuesday, December 6.

“I encourage local residents to come along and visit,” Mr O’Brien said.
