A 65-year-old woman has been rescued from the side of Mt Wooroolin after falling from a horse and tumbling 20m down the side of the hill this afternoon.
The woman was riding a trail with her husband when her horse stumbled causing her to fall off and down a steep slope.
The horse also fell, briefly landing on the woman, then rolling off her.
Her husband alerted authorities and the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was despatched to airlift the woman at 2:45pm.
When the RACQ LifeFlight crew arrived the woman had been extracted by the QFES, police and SES volunteers.
Ambulance paramedics treated the woman for a broken arm and possible fractured pelvis.
The LifeFlight helicopter, which landed in the picnic area near the lookout, transported the woman to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
The horse was also rescued.
A LifeFlight spokesperson said the animal was believed to be uninjured.
