Entries close tomorrow (August 26) for the 2016 Australian Farmer of the Year Awards.

Either nominate a farmer – or nominate yourself – for:

  • Australian Farmer of the Year
  • Young Farmer of the Year (under 35 years),
  • Farming Legend of the Year – recognising farmers who have made a lifetime contribution to the industry, showing resilience, nous, knowledge and outstanding acumen.
  • Rural Community Leader of the Year – highlighting unsung heroes who keep farming communities vibrant.
  • Rural Consultant of the Year – paying tribute to the hard-working consultants who help farmers achieve outstanding results.

Nominations can be made online

This year’s winners will be announced in Canberra on November 10, feature on the Country Hour on ABC Radio, and appear in a commemorative feature in the November edition of Farming Ahead magazine.

The awards are hosted by ABC Rural and the Kondinin Group.
