Stanwell Corporation will be offering eight apprenticeships and traineeships at its Tarong Power Stations in 2017; applicants have two weeks to apply

Stanwell Corporation opened its 2017 apprentice and trainee program on Friday and announced it will offer eight positions next year.

The company will offer three first year electrical apprenticeships; three first year mechanical fitter apprenticeships; and two first year business administration traineeships.

On-the-job training will be undertaken at the Tarong Power Stations.

However, rotation to other host employers may be required to ensure all competencies are gained by the successful applicants.

Working conditions include a 36.25 hour working week (based on a nine day fortnight), transport to and from the station and provision of protective clothing.

Candidates should be living in the South Burnett and completing year 12, or have completed year 12 in the past two years.

Applications will be processed by group training organisation MRAEL Ltd, and applications will close on Sunday, August 14.
