Art lovers have been invited to a luncheon this Saturday afternoon (July 30) to meet the five artists who have been exhibiting at the Wondai Art Gallery during July.

Artists June McCotter, Rhonda Pullen, Judith Goodman and Sarah McCarthy and interior designer Judy Cakacaka will be holding a “Grand Finale” lunch for their “Point Of Difference” exhibition between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.

After the luncheon is over, guests can move across the street to the art gallery for the official drawing of a raffle that will see two original $350 artworks – one by Rhonda Pullen, the other by June McCotter – given away to the winners.

June, who now lives in Nambour, was one of the founders of the Wondai Art Gallery along with Alison Iszlaub, and has held annual exhibitions at the gallery for the past two decades.

Alison will be a special guest at Saturday’s lunch, and the pair intend to share stories about the early days of setting up the gallery, as well as the many artists and exhibitions that have passed through its doors over the last 20 years.

“The Wondai Regional Art Gallery holds a special place in my heart, and it will be great to have Alison at the event,” June said.

“But we’d like to extend an open invitation to everyone who likes the Gallery or our work to come and join us.”

Tickets to the buffet luncheon are $20 and can be booked by phoning Dimities Cottage on (07) 4168-5744.
