A father and his young daughter, both injured in a motorbike accident, were flown in separate helicopters from Murgon Hospital on Thursday evening.

Two RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopters were tasked to transport the pair at 8:00pm.

The 44-year-old father and his four-year-old daughter suffered suspected head injuries when they were thrown from a motorbike while riding on their rural property.

The Brisbane-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was diverted from an airlift from Kingaroy Hospital to transport the man to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The Sunshine Coast CareFlight helicopter flew the small child to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, accompanied by her mother.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter landed on a rural property near Jimna at lunchtime on Friday to assist a man with a medical condition.

The helicopter landed near the homestead and was first on the scene at the remote location.

A 69-year-old man suffering from a cardiac condition had been self-monitoring his condition before contacting emergency services.

CareFlight’s critical care doctor treated the patient at the scene scene.

The man was then airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
