Drug detection dogs from Brisbane were deployed by police during a search of a house in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy, on Thursday morning.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said a search warrant was executed as part of a co-ordinated and continuing effort to police drug crime in Kingaroy and the South Burnett.

He said police were specifically targeting people who were using drugs or bringing drugs into the region.

“Police rely on information from the community. Anyone with information about drugs in the community can contact police via Crime Stoppers (1800-333-000) or local police on (07) 4160-4900,” Snr Sgt Frank said.

Snr Sgt Frank said no charges had been laid at this stage as a result of Thursday morning’s search.
