Four people have been charged after a brawl erupted at the Kingaroy Show last weekend.

Police will allege that about 10:30pm a group of men went to sideshow alley wanting to ride on one of the machines.

However, the show attendants refused as the carnival had closed down.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said an argument then ensued between the four men and the female ride attendant.

One of the men allegedly threw a can of alcohol at the woman and punched her.

Other carnival workers came to the woman’s aid and a fight broke out.

The four men were chased away, only to return allegedly armed with weapons.

Snr Sgt Frank said the men were carrying an axe handle and machete or iron bar.

Another confrontation allegedly occurred between the men, show workers and security guards.

Police arrived and two men were taken into custody.

Snr Sgt Frank said police located the other two men hiding underneath a show pavilion.

Earlier in the evening, the men were also involved in an alleged altercation at a nearby service station.

A 19-year-old Wondai man, a 19-year-old Kingaroy man and two 20-year-old Kingaroy men have been charged with public nuisance.

Two of the men will also face a charge of trespassing.

They have all been released on bail.

A 39-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with theft after police viewed CCTV footage from the Carrollee Hotel drive-thru bottleshop.

The man allegedly stole three bottles of spirits worth about $200 in total.

He will appear in court in May.

A Brisbane woman visiting Kingaroy ended up in a paddock at the corner of Haly Street and Clark and Swendson Road when she lost control of her vehicle.

The incident occurred about 3:30pm on Sunday as the woman was driving towards Kingaroy.

The 20-year-old, who was not injured, allegedly told police she mixed up the brake and accelerator before she hit a fencepost and went through a fence.

She has been issued with an infringement notice for failing to maintain proper control of her vehicle.

Police making inquiries at a house in Alford Street, Kingaroy, last Friday were invited into the house by a man, who then ran off into the kitchen.

The police officers followed and allegedly saw the man trying to hide something in a cupboard.

They allegedly located drug utensils in the cupboard and “green leafy matter” on a benchtop.

A 30-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils.

A woman will face a string of traffic-related charges after police stopped her vehicle in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, at 1:30pm on Thursday.

The 29-year-old was allegedly driving an unregistered, uninsured vehicle which was carrying false number plates.

She was issued with a notice to appear in court on June 6.

Her vehicle was impounded for 90 days.

At 4:30am on Friday, police stopped a vehicle in Rogers Drive, Kingaroy, for a routine check.

A 46-year-old Yarraman man was found to have a suspended licence. He was issued with a notice to appear in court to face a charge of unlicensed driving and his number plates were confiscated by police for 90 days.

Five people have died so far on Queensland roads in May, taking the road toll for 2016 to 81.
