Aussie star Michael Caton will be the special guest at the 10th anniversary Heritage Bank Nanango Film Festival.

The popular TV and film actor is probably best-known for his role as Ted Taylor in the award-winning TV series “Packed to the Rafters” and as the star of the hit movie “The Castle”.

Mr Caton will make two guest appearances at the Nanango Cultural Centre during the festival followed by Q&A sessions:

  • Red Carpet opening night, 6:30pm on Friday, May 27 – “Eddie the Eagle”, starring Hugh Jackman (tickets are $20 which includes two complimentary drinks and nibbles); and
  • Guest Star Movie, 11:00am on Saturday, May 28 – “Last Cab to Darwin” starring Michael Caton, Jackie Weaver, Ningali Lawford and Mark Coles Smith (tickets are $5)

Tickets are available from South Burnett Regional Council customer service centres and Thorps Showcase Jewellers.

Tickets will also be sold at the Nanango Markets on May 7.

The festival will feature eight movies as well as two school screenings over May 27-29.
