Action from the Kings Royal weekend in January … Modifieds will be back on Saturday night

Speedway racing returns to Kingaroy on Saturday night with junior motorbikes in the afternoon followed by cars at night.

The South Burnett Speedway Club will be hosting Round 3 of the Golden Helmet Series for Modified Sedans.

Also on the program will be Round 3 of the Junior Sedan Allstars series, as well as Street Stocks and National 4s.

Racing will begin at 5:00pm.

Admission is $25 for adults with children 12 and under free.

High school students and aged and disability pensioners are $15.

Before the cars hit the track, Round 1 of the Kingaroy McDonald’s Race Series for junior speedway motorcycles will be run at the Kingaroy Showground.

Classes to be contested are Peewee, 125cc and 250cc.

Gates will open at noon with racing from 2:00pm.

Entry into the grounds will be via the Avoca Street entrance.
