Paper tole works by renowned local expert Rosemarie Matthews-Frederick will be on display at the Winds Of Change Gallery in Nanango during September

The Winds Of Change Art Gallery in George Street, Nanango is showing paper tole craftworks by Rosemarie Matthews-Frederick throughout September.

Paper tole is a highly-skilled craft that creates 3D images from 2D prints.

Rosemarie, who recently exhibited some of her works at a world paper tole conference in the USA, is renowned as the region’s leading paper tole practitioner.

Her exquisite pieces inspire and delight with their incredible attention to detail and bursts of colour.

Rosemarie’s works have been regularly exhibited at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery and the Kingaroy Art Gallery, and they can be viewed at Winds Of Change every Monday to Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm

If you’re interested in Plein Air (ie open air) painting, the Gallery’s Plein Air Group meets every Thursday at 10:00am.

Members explore and share techniques, tricks and tips with pastels, paint, sketching and more.

All skill levels are welcome and there is no charge to join in.

The Gallery’s pottery group meets every Friday from 10:00am.

Members usually create a new piece every week, but spaces are limited.

Cost is $5 per meeting plus materials.

If you’re wondering what to do with your children during the Spring school vacation, the Winds Of Change school holiday program will be running daily from Monday, September 21 through to Friday, October 2.

Kids can enjoy arts and craft activities all day at the Gallery during the school holidays.

Activities on offer include beading, paper tole, paper flowers, sketching and more!

The Gallery is planning for the future, and the Nanango Art Society are currently calling for Expressions of Interest for arts projects and exhibitions.

Members of the public are very welcome to become part of our independent arts cooperative, and get involved in exciting projects and exhibitions showcasing talented local artists.
